You Know You're an Infertile When...

#1...you've traveled to your out-of-state clinic so often, the city the clinic is in feels like home. So much so that you can navigate your way to the places you need to go without consulting a map or GPS.

#2 (aka You Know You're Sleep-Deprived When...)...you're at work, an e-mail with the subject line "DE Roadmap" pops into your inbox, and your first thought is "Donor Embryos? Why is this work colleague e-mailing me about donor embryos??" And then it takes you a full minute of thinking to realize what else DE might possibly mean in the context of work.

Oh yah, good old LoneTree. We even got super familiar with the area around their smaller clinic because I saw a doctor there as well. I think we made five trips out total? But yet, it seems like more...
Hang in there!

Yes, I understand too! We have 4 trips in now :/ Have you eaten at Rio Grande near the mall? They have yummy chicken quesadillas with fresh guac :)

Do you know when you will be going back? We are still up in the air with DH's job training, but I'm hoping maybe we can get there before July. I'm kind of in "just get it done mode" right now - tired of TTC and tired of paying their prices!

Thanks for the info @ the FET. Um, so they are very sneaky! They also told me if we had to try a second FET right away, it would only be $5k. But it's really $7,500 huh? Just not right to lead people on like that. I don't think they stop & think @ how much $ we are all in for by the time we get to baby :( I guess I feel less likely to insist on them itemizing now... blah...

We are actually looking @ 6/28 or 7/5. As luck would have it, my DH is starting a new job on 6/24 & can't go with me. Boo! Plus, we close on our short sale on 7/2 & I have to get POA to sign for him b/c he'll be in training. Talk @ poor timing. Oh well... at least we are moving forward. In our market, we were able to pay 50k less than listing which is 120k less than what is owed on it between their 2 mortgages. There hadn't been any comps in this neighborhood for 2 years. We got lucky because there were 2 closings on the street in the last month that probably would have tanked our negotiations! They both sold for 90k more than we are paying although they both have more finished area in their exposed basements. In the end, we're estimating we'll have @ 60k equity built in. It will have taken 6 months & some change from first offer to close, so while I'm glad we hung in there, it was a huge pain! Now it just might be a tiny bit awkward when the neighbors find out what we paid! Hope your closing & FET work out with minimal stress. What a pain trying to do both!
